| Tan is a Broker/Owner and Licensed Realtor with Exit Realty Talbot and Company who has been selling real estate full-time in Northern Virginia since 1993. His affiliation with Exit Realty Talbot and Company began in 1996 when he joined Talbot and Company, Inc. as a Realtor and solidified when he married Samantha (her mother, Helena Talbot, is a Broker/Owner of the company). In 2006 Talbot and Company, Inc. joined Exit Realty, the fastest growing real estate franchise in North America and Tan partnered with Helena as a co-owner. Tan and Samantha live in Leesburg with their two wonderful children, Evin (9 years old) and Maya (7 years old). Tan's brother Timur is also involved in the business as a Vice-President for George Mason Mortgage. Prior to selling real estate, Tan grew up and attended high school in Pittsburgh, PA and went on to receive a B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University. Following the university, he traveled abroad for 2 1/2 years and taught English as a Second Language in Istanbul, Turkey. Tan is also fluent in Turkish. Returning from abroad, he worked as a Sales Manager for Pulte Homes in Northern Virginia before becoming a Realtor.
Tan is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Virginia Association of Realtors, and a Dulles Area Association of Realtors Top Producer Platinum Club member (for sales in excess of $10,000,000 per year). The team of Tan Tunador, Helena Talbot and Marti Clayton won first place team in the Dulles Area Association of Realtors for dollar volume production in 2004 and finished second in 2005. He is a Licensed Realtor and Associate Broker. Outside of the real estate world he enjoys reading detective fiction, digital photography, playing the piano, Porsches, biking and lifting weights. |
